Bhutan offers a variety of
trekking programs from regular treks to cultural
treks. Trekking offers one of the best ways to enjoy
the splendor of Bhutan’s natural beauty. Our treks
take you through pristine subtropical and temperate
forest to alpine pastures with grand views of
majestic mountains. The trek also gives you the
opportunity to see the countryside and meet ordinary
Bhutanese people as you walk through village and
settlements. All trekkers are accompanied by
well-experienced guides, cook and porters/ horsemen.
Mountain horses or yaks, depending on the altitude
that you are trekking, carry provisions and luggage.
Treks vary from very short three-day trek across low
altitude to three four weeks snowman trek covering
distance of 356 kilometers. The northern treks climb
as high as 5,500 meters and should only be attempted
by people who are physically fit.
Click on a trek name to learn more about it. They
have been arranged more or less by the duration of
the trek, however, the actual number of days spent
trekking will be slightly less. Please note that the
average trek is about 5 to 7 hours walk every day.
